Life's a Ball!

I hope everyone had a fabulous July 4th weekend. We did, even if it was a bit damp. Very unusual weather for this holiday weekend, but still pleasant.

I hope you all have also been continuing to enjoy checking out all the new digi stamps being released on July 7th by Paper Makeup Stamps. While today we're taking a break from showing you more new sneaks, the PMS DT (myself included) are using some of the new digis in our PMS Monday Challenge today!

Our Monday challenge this week comes from my fellow DT member, the fabulous "Glitter Goddess" Meli! She has given us a darling Hello Kitty picture as our inspiration. You will be able to see the picture on the Monday Challenge post over on the PMS Blog.

My card's layout is my entry for this week's Card Patterns Challenge and it worked perfectly for what I wanted to do. Since the main colors in the Hello Kitty picture, are orange and pink, I decided to use these cute gingham papers I've been dying to try. This adorable fairy is one of the fairies for July 09. Her name is Jaina (she is on another stamp holding a lantern) and she's dying to go to the beach! This digi comes with this coordinating sentiment "Life's a Ball". One of the great thing about digis is being able to size them for your use. I was happy to be able to shrink Jaina down a little to fit this card. I had fun coloring her including giving her the freckles she needs and of course no self respecting fairy would dare go barefoot without a bit of nail polish! {giggle}

Card Details
Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Image/Sentiment: Jaina w/beach ball (PMS); Coloring Medium: BIC, Prismacolor, Copic, SU and ZIG markers; Paper: CS- Orange (paper Studio), CS-White (GP), PP- Orange and Pink Gingham from the Back to Basics Paper Pad (paper Studio); Misc.: Stickles (Fruit Punch and Stardust), adhesive orange gems, white gel pen, dimensionals, pink gingham ribbon, zig zag punch (Martha Stewart)

Make sure you take the time to go check out what the other DT members came up with for this challenge. You can find their list of names over on the right sidebar in my blog--or you can see them on the challenge post on the PMS Blog.

Have you read my first post for today? You might want to as you get a super sneaky first glance at one of the new sentiments being released by Paper Makeup Stamps. The rest of the sneak peaks on the sentiments won't be until Tomorrow!

Speaking of tomorrow, you don't want to miss the fabulous Blog Hop that will kick of the PMS July Release Party. And the party is going to be the place to be tomorrow evening 9-11pm (EST)! Make sure you drop by the PMS Forum for a chance to win prizes and just have some great chatting fun!
